Course Description:
Dentistry is not just about teeth. It is about the person and their environment that can make or break the experience of a patient at the dentist. In an outside-the-box workshop, Dr. Dent offers alternatives for creating a sensory-friendly dental practice and team.
Course Objectives:

COURSE 2:
Ultrasonic Instrumentation: The Science of Technology to Advance Your Technique
Speaker: Reneé Graham
Course Description:
In recent years, ultrasonic technology has advanced, resulting in improved clinical outcomes while also reducing the clinician’s stresses. However, for the clinician to enjoy these benefits they need to optimize the performance of the units by modifying their technique. This course will help participants understand current ultrasonic technology and teach clinical modifications necessary to maximize the potential of ultrasonics and promote positive tissue and periodontal changes.
Course Objectives:
By the end of the program, the dental professional will be able to:
- Understand the various contracting options for insurance networks/PPO
- Understand the impact of each option on the practice
- Differentiate ultrasonic inserts and their usage
COURSE 3:
Understanding Insurance Participation to Maximize Revenue

In this course, we will discuss several related topics such as Private Practice Challenges, Insurance Contracting Options, Goals and Strategies, and Revenue Impact of Decisions.

HIPAA & OSHA Compliance: Stay Safe, Stay Smart, Stay Compliant

In today’s rapidly evolving environment, where infections and diseases pose ongoing risks, it is essential to follow strict protocols to prevent the spread of microbes, viruses, and germs. Additionally, maintaining proper water quality is crucial in safeguarding health and safety.
Organizations that handle, use, or disclose protected health information (PHI) must ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Failure to properly manage PHI can have serious consequences for both patients and the organizations responsible for data security breaches.
By adhering to these guidelines, organizations can promote a safer, more secure environment for both patients and staff as well as meet your licensing requirements.

Dr. Jacob Dent
COURSE 1 Speaker: Dr. Jacob Dent
Dr. Jacob Dent is an outside-the-box general dentist and speaker. In practice for 22 years and a multi-practice owner, Dr. Dent has built a successful career treating patients of all ages and disabilities in a non-conventional way using desensitization.
Dr. Dent is a fellow of Academy of Dentistry International, clinical director for Special Olympics Special Smiles, Clinical Assistant Professor at UTSD-Houston, and Co-founder of the Dental Desensitization System.
As a professional speaker, Dr. Dent has given presentations and workshops around the country for the past 9 years to dental professionals, healthcare providers, dental students, and families. Dr. Dent is married to his wife Jennifer, and father to his daughter Jayden, and son Ethan, who has Autism.

Reneé Graham
RDH, MEd
COURSE 2 & 4 Speaker: Reneé C. Graham, RDH, MEd
Reneé received her dental hygiene degree from Albany University. She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Education degree from Valdosta State University. The combination of clinical dental hygiene, academics, and corporate sphere allows her to bring many insights to the dental professional. Renee’s speaking engagements encompass international, national, regional, and local events.
She has been married to “Bear” for 45 years and they have 2 children and 6 almost perfect grandchildren. She enjoys hiking, reading, and golf. Her golf game is horrible, but she has the best hunt and find skills for locating hook and slice shots.
